“One freelancer’s quest to streamline his life by optimizing daily his Google homepage is an exercise in efficient time-wasting.”
This is so true. I find myself easily getting distracted and ending up wasting my time online. It reminds me of the concept of spending money to save money.

I don’t know about you, but I thoroughly enjoy my nightly sleep and don’t enjoy being woken up by a blaring alarm clock. The glo Pillow, by Ian Walton, makes an attempt to wake you up in a more natural way.
The glo Pillow is an alternative to the traditional alarm clock. It was designed with teammate Eoin McNally in response to a brief to create a product which helps to combat the pressures of a “24 hour” lifestyle.
The pillow uses an LED fabric substrate below the surface to wake the user using light. This substrate also functions as a display, showing the time on the pillows surface using the grid of LEDs below.
40 minutes before the pre-set alarm time the pillow begins to glow and gently brings the user out of sleep. This natural waking process helps to set the circadian rhythm or “body clock” and results in more healthy sleep/wake patterns.
Last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning I ran the soundboard and made sure that all things technical was taken care of for a three-day seminar, with Dad who was assisting me. That took up pretty much all of those days with an hour driving time each way, and the seminar being all day. So I’m a little tired (I’m not used to getting up very early).
I received one of the books I ordered, The ARRL General Class License Manual, and I’m going to try to make some time to read it so I can get my General Class, Amateur (Ham) Radio license. And no, I haven’t gotten my Technician license yet, but that was the other book I ordered.
Dad has been teaching Bible studies a few times a week and I’ve been recording them for him using whatever equipment we have had lying around. He also wanted to capture the comments from the rest of the people. After some research, we decided on this, A Zoom H2, portable audio recorder. So far it has been working pretty good.
